If you add a position to your portfolio, without deducting a cash balance, we will assume this is an addition to your portfolio and it will increase your Net Asset Value.
When you look at your Transaction page, this is why it doesn't appear as a "Buy" because you haven't deducted cash to make the trade; you have transferred this new asset into your portfolio.
